Hi I’m Julie. I’m a writer, traveler, language teacher (and learner). I know my way around a PR conundrum.

After several years in New York City as a real estate journalist, I pivoted to the PR world. Then I turned it all upside down and came to live in Orosháza, a small town on The Great Hungarian Plain. I teach English and French to grades 1-8, slowly learn Hungarian, eat, and travel. And I’m trying to document it all.

My hope is for this site to be a source of inspiration and amusement for fellow travelers, whether seasoned or just getting started. I’m also open to freelance opportunities, particularly those examining life in Central and Eastern Europe.
